Weirdlinks is perhaps one of the most fun, unsung sites on the net. Most recently Link Digger, the Silicone Valley reg'lar joe who runs the whole thing, took a little tour to a place called Bodie.
Indrid loves Bodie; here's a snip from Link Digger's intro to his travelogue, in his usual delightfully hyperbolic style-"...This is Bodie, California, or rather the remains of Bodie -- a notorious old west gold mining town second to none for WICKEDNESS! Killings occurred there with monotonous regularity, sometimes becoming daily events. Hangings, gunfights, murders, prostitution, robberies, opium dens, drunkenness, holdups, street fights and saloon brawls were commonplace. For a time the town of Bodie claimed the highest murder rate in the United States..."
Indeed, Bodie looks like the kind of place Indrid would like to hang for a century or two. Up in the rotting roof of one of the old whorehouses.
