William S. Burroughs' hilarious, grotesque and pornographic novel Naked Lunch received it's title when Jack Kerouac [Google Search], having looked a little too long at Burroughs' scenes of homosexual bondage and surgery done by doctors with ash-heavy cigarettes dangling from their lips said reading Burroughs created a "Naked Lunch" moment - the moment when "...you see exactly what is on the end of the fork..."
So, after reading this story today - Spate of canine suicides' from bridge baffles animal experts - about doggies doing themselves in, it occurred to Indrid -
Perhaps our canine friends are finally advancing to the status of 'companion species' for real. Maybe they are beginning to be aware...
Our doggie friends have begun to see exactly what is at the end of the leash.
